Pink + Konad Bow~

Hello, Everyone!  Today's post is just an addition to yesterday's post.  I was already wearing OPI's Sparrow Me the Drama and I decided to add a little konad to it.  A cute white bow on my fourth finger seemed like a nice touch. :)

Products used:
  • Seche Vite Base Coat
  • OPI: Sparrow Me the Drama
  • Konad Special Nail Polish: White
  • Konad Image Plate: m59
  • Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat

That's all for today.  Is it hot wear you are in the world?  It was 98ยบ (F) today.  SO HOT.  TOO HOT if you ask me.

Have a nice day~

  • Finger Paints Base Coat
  • China Glaze: Secret Per-Wink-Le

Red and Yellow Tribal Nails (Konad)

Hello, Everyone!  Long time no post.  Today's post is the result of my annoyance with the color "Sun Worshipper" by China Glaze.  I had originally planned on reviewing the color but the color refused to translate onto my camera.  And at that point I was already angry with "Sun Worshipper" because it took 4 coats of color to get it mostly even.  So I decided to cover up the color with Konad.  And here we are.

Products Used:
  • China Glaze: Sun Worshipper
  • Konad Special Nail Polish: Red
  • Konad Image Plate: m65

After my base coat and 4 coats of "Sun Worshipper", I used Konad's Special Nail Polish in Red with image plate m65 to make the awesome design seen above and below.  And then I waited awhile to apply a top coat because I didn't want to risk smearing the design.

What's funny is that after I put the red Konad design, I fell in LOVE,  I love this design and the combination of colors.  It's a lot more impressive in real life.  "Sun Worshipper" is SO flipping bright.  My nails glowed.  It was interesting, but awesome.  The design reminded me of some kind of tribal design, therefore the name of the post.

I got several compliments in one day.  I only wore this for about 2 days because my pointer finger was already chipping.  I am willing to give "Sun Worshipper" another chance.  It's definitely a summer color.    Maybe I'll try it in the spring.  Is it spring yet?  Well, it's always hot where I am, so it doesn't matter.

Oh!  And when I went to Walgreens yesterday, I saw Essie and Sally Hansen Complete Salon bottles.  The entire nail polish section was VERY impressive.  I got Sally Hansen Complete Salon "Gray by Gray" and there will be a review soon because it is a beautiful gray/blue.

Orange with White Konad Flowers

Hello, Everyone!  This is a quick post!  But today I have a simple Konad design for you all!

Products used:
  • O.P.I: Rising Star
  • Konad Special Nail Polish: White
  • Konad Plate: m65

To do this design, I first painted my nails with 2 coats of "Rising Star" and put a top coat on.  After it was completely dry, I used the flower design on Konad plate m64 using Konad's special white nail polish.  And then I waited several hours before putting on Seche Vite top coat because that top coat smears Konad designs.  It's very frustrating.  So if you have another top coat, use that one, not Seche Vite.

ANYWAY!  I want to thank all of you because a day or two ago I hit 30 followers!  I was so excited. :D  I love you all!  I hope everyone has had a nice first week of the new year.  Mine has been pretty good!  And today I am off to ULTA for the first time.  I am excited. And hopefully I'll get some new things to review!

Purple with White Konad Swirls

Hello, Everyone! Today I have a special post! It features my sister, Lauren, and her hands! She came over during winter break and I got to do her nails a few times! She has a blog of her own called The Mod Girl. She posts about photography, vintage clothing, foreign movies, and all sorts of things. So check her out! Both she and I would greatly appreciate it!
Pretty, right? :D I have managed to over come my fear of doing other people's nails by practicing on my sister's nails!
Colors used:
  • China Glaze: Grape Juice
  • Konad Special Polish: White
  • Konad Plate: m64
I used three coats of "Grape Juice" as a base color. Then I used Konad plate m64 using Konad's special polish in white for the design. Then of course I topped it all off with a top coat (Seche Vite). But I waited a long time to put it on because in the past, even after waiting a half hour the Konad design would smear, even though it was dry. I know Konad has their own clear coat, but I don't.
I want to wish EVERYONE a happy 2011! Let's all make this a great year!
