Valentine's Inspiration (in April)

While I DID paint these nails around Valentine's Day 2 months ago, I'm posting it now. No one cares.

I had fun with heart rhinestones. Polish info below.

Base Coat: Orly Rubberized Basecoat
Nail Color: Zoya "Leslie"
Top Coat: Orly Polishield All-In-One Ultimate Topcoat

Zoya "Leslie" is a light pink shimmer that goes on very smoothly. I highly recommend it. And the name Leslie reminds me of Parks and Recreation. So it's good all-around.

I advise putting top coat over the rhinestones. Otherwise they'll all fall off in one day. Which happened to me. You live and learn.

Sincerely,
Lindsay

Rainbow Gradient~

Hello, Everyone!  I'm here!  And it's summer vacation!  And soon I'll be going to France for 2 months, but until then, I'll keep posting!  I saw a fellow blogger do a horizontal rainbow gradient using Zoya's summer collection, and it looked SO GOOD.  So I gave it a try,

Colors Used (in order from pointer to pinky):

  • Zoya Reva
  • Zoya Rica
  • Zoya Tanzy
  • Zoya Apple
  • Zoya Crystal
  • Zoya Faye
  • Zoya Zara

So, that's that!  Have a nice summer~

Purple with Gold Glitter Triangles~

Hello, Everyone!  Today's manicure I used tape to make the triangles.  And the pictures are FAR from color-accurate.  Zoya Kieko is purple, strictly purple.  The pictures make it look pink-ish.  I used 2 coats of China Glaze Diva Bride as a base color to make the nails look clean.  Enjoy!

Products Used:
  • Seche Vite Base Coat
  • China Glaze Diva Bride
  • Zoya Kieko
  • China Glaze Blondie Bombshell
  • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

Usually I'll randomly babble down here, but I have nothing to say except to enjoy your day~

Black Tips + White Dots

Hello, Everyone!  I'm really into just painting the tips of my nails.  I like the look of it.  So... I just kept my black tips manicure and added white dots along the line. :D

Products Used:

  • Seche Vite Base Coat
  • China Glaze Liquid Leather
  • Zoya Snow White
  • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

And there you have it.  Simple but nice. :)  It's inching ever so close to Valentine's Day, and I have yet to put up anything related to V-Day.  I will.  Soon.  I think. :D

Have a great Wednesday!

Zoya: Yasmeen + some Clarins 230

Hello, Everyone!  Today's color is Zoya's Yasmeen. I might as well just get it out that this is my all-time favorite color that I own.

And also, I don't know if people know this, but it looks A LOT like Clarins 230, but without the multi-chrome, changing colors.  I own Clarins 230, so I can say this on good account.  Yasmeen  looks like Clarins 230 layered over purple.  Both colors have a purple base but with internal pink shimmer that glows within.  It is beautiful!  And I have a comparison photo at the bottom of the post. :)

  • Coats: 2 easy, beautiful, amazing coats
  • Finish:  Purple base with internal pink shimmer
  • Where:  Zoya.com
  • Wear:  5 DAYS, no chips yet.
  • Cost:  $8.00.
  • Staining:  No stains!
  • Application:  Easy!
  • Dry time: Pretty fast.
  • Removal:  Easy to remove!
*This color is perfect and I have absolutely no complaints. :D

Clarins 230 (left) and Yasmeen (right)

They're similar, right?  Or am I crazy?  Well, I think they look similar.  Maybe it's my love for Yasmeen and refusal to say anything bad about it that prevents me from seeing the truth?

One more picture?  One more picture.

Moral of the story:
I love Yasmeen.  And so should you.

NBCAM (National Breast Cancer Awareness Month) #2

Hello, Everyone!  Here is another installment of my many pink manicures for October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness month.  You are welcome to join me and wear pink polish (even if most bloggers, myself included, don't usually like to wear pink).

    Products Used:
    • Seche Vite Base Coat
    • Zoya Addison
    • OPI Teenage Dream
    • L.A. Colors Art Deco: White
    • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

I am in love with the Addison/Teenage Dream combination!  I would only wear Teenage Dream by itself, which required 3 coats for opacity, but with Addison underneath as a base, I only need one coat, and it looks great!
So I'm very happy about that. :D

I hope everyone enjoys their Wednesday.  Wow, is it Wednesday already?  Ok, well I have a Calculus exam to study for.  Ciao.

NBCAM (National Breast Cancer Awareness Month) #1

Hello, Everyone!  Now that I've started blogging again, I'm in the mood to blog more.  SO!  Here's is my first NBCAM (National Breast Cancer Awareness Month) manicure!

    Products Used:
    • Seche Vite Base Coat
    • Zoya: Addison
    • L.A. Colors Nail Art Deco: White
    • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

A simple, yet elegant manicure.  I'm not the kind of person to wear colors like "Addison", but now that I've tried it, I really like it!  It's work-friendly, makes your nails looks clean, and it just looks pretty.  The phrase "Pretty in pink" keeps popping up in my head.

This week is insanely busy, but 2 of my classes have been cancelled.  So I guess it evens out. :D

Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Grab Your Pinks!

If you didn't know already, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

So!  I've decided to wear only pink polish for October!  Which meant I had to go through all my polish and scrounge out the "true pinks" I own, which isn't many.  So then I had to expand my definition of "pink".  I included a lot of fuchsias and magenta-pinks.  But I managed to get 15 different colors!  So I have lots of choices!  Which I will list below.  The picture above shows most of my pinks.

    China Glaze:
    Ahoy!
    Awakening
    Fifth Avenue
    Strawberry Fields

    OPI:
    Ate Berries in the Canaries
    DS Extravagance
    Heart Throb
    Sparrow Me the Drama
    Teenage Dream
    The One That Got Away

    Orly:
    Purple Crush

    Zoya:
    Addison
    Harlow
    Lindsay
    Moxie

I'm still not sure what color I want to chose today.  But I'm about to remove my current nail polish (Zoya Yasmeen, an amazing purple).

Side Note: I know the last time I posted was over a month ago.  College is busy.  I know, no excuses! But I will for sure be consistent this month with all my pinks. :D
