Valentine's Inspiration (in April)

While I DID paint these nails around Valentine's Day 2 months ago, I'm posting it now. No one cares.

I had fun with heart rhinestones. Polish info below.

Base Coat: Orly Rubberized Basecoat
Nail Color: Zoya "Leslie"
Top Coat: Orly Polishield All-In-One Ultimate Topcoat

Zoya "Leslie" is a light pink shimmer that goes on very smoothly. I highly recommend it. And the name Leslie reminds me of Parks and Recreation. So it's good all-around.

I advise putting top coat over the rhinestones. Otherwise they'll all fall off in one day. Which happened to me. You live and learn.

Sincerely,
Lindsay

I'm back. With some glitter. Enjoy.

The title says it all.

I painted my nails with some gold glitter tips and an accent nail. Keeping it old-school. Info on the polishes used is below.

Base Coat: Orly Bonder Rubberized Basecoat
Nail Color: OPI "Ate Berries in the Canaries"
Glitter Color: Sephora by OPI "Only Gold For Me Topcoat"
Top Coat: Orly Polishield All-In-One Ultimate Topcoat

More pictures! Because why not.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
P.S. I also updated my header.

Sincerely,
Lindsay

Random Nail Art (just for fun)

So, what have I been up to since one year ago when I last posted a picture of my nails?  Well, unfortunately I haven't taken any photos of my nails except for a few recent ones!  So I'll show you the few that I have.
And eventually each design will get its own special, individual post.

Blue Holo, With Black and White Cloud

Hello, Everyone!  Today's design is from nailside and here is her tutorial post for this simple, but fun design.  After seeing her post, I knew I had to try it.  So I did. :P

I was already wearing Glitter Gal's Blue 3D/Holo.  So then I just added white and black. :)

Products used:

  • Seche Vite Base Coat
  • Glitter Gal Blue 3D/Holo
  • Zoya Snow White
  • China Glaze Liquid Leather
  • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

So now I really want to use a bunch of different color combinations.

This week was a good week for me! Much better than last week.  That was a bad week.  I have two classes left today, and then it's the weekend!~

Halloween Spider Web Nails!

Hello, Everyone! FINALLY I have some Halloween nail art for you.  Even though Halloween is in 3 days... :D  I saw this nail art on another blog and I knew I had to recreate it.

 Products Used:

  • Seche Vite Base Coat
  • China Glaze Life Preserver
  • L.A. Colors Art Deco in Black
  • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

And then after a few days wear, I didn't want to remove it, but I wanted to change it up a bit.  So in comes China Glaze Fairy Dust.

The sparkle factor looked awesome.  The pictures don't look that great.  But you'll have to take my word for it. :)

So, what are YOU dressing up for Halloween? And if so, what/who are dressing as?

Easter Egg Nails!!

Hello, Everyone!  Today I have an Easter egg inspired nail design!  All the egg designs are original, but the chick on the fourth finger was inspired by another blog as I was looking at other Easter designs. :D

THUMB:
Base:  OPI "Heart Throb"
Stripes: Orly "Purple Crush" and a Kiss Hot Pink striping bottle.

Use three coats of "HT" and using a striping brush, paint several stripes with "PC" and in between those lines paint stripes with a hot pink color.

POINTER:
Base:  OPI "Gargantuan Green Grape"
Dots:  OPI  "Jade is the New Black" and a bright neon green color.

Use three coats of "GGG" and using a dotting tool make a line of "JitNB", then the neon green, keeping that pattern.

MIDDLE:
Base:  OPI "Rumple's Wiggin'"
Lines:  China Glaze "Spontaneous"

Use two coats of "RW" and then use "Spontaneous" and a striping brush to make the zigzag lines.

FOURTH:
Base:  OPI "Need Sunglasses"
Egg:  OPI "Alpine Snow-Matte"
Beak:  Revlon "Mad About Mango"
Eyes:  Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Black Out"

Paint 3 coats of "NS" and using the brush on "AS-M" paint the egg shell.  Using a dotting tool, paint the beak and eyes.

PINKY:
Base:  Orly "Gumdrop"
Stripes:  China Glaze "Shower Together" and "First Mate".

Paint two coats of "GD".  Then using a striping brush, paint three stripes of "ST", and on the top of those stripes, paint stripes with "FM".

Enjoy!  And I hope everyone has a nice weekend, hopefully spending it with family or friends. :)

HAPPY EASTER!

Party Dots (Feat. a friend's nails)

Hello, Everyone!  Today I have a nail design to show you all. It's a design I did on my friend's nails for an event she was going to.  She picked out the colors, and I did the design.  Behold:

Colors Used:
  • OPI DS: mystery
  • OPI:  Rumple's Wiggin'
  • OPI:  Gargantuan Green Grape
  • OPI:  Jade is the New Black
  • China Glaze:  First Mate

I used 2 coats of "mystery" for the base color.  And then using a bobby pin as a dotting tool, I did a kind of gradient effect with the dots, starting at the base of the nail, progressively making fewer dots and smaller dots.  I used "RW" "GGG" "JITNB" and "FM" for the dots.  And on the fourth finger I put 3 small rhinestones: green, purple, and silver.

The nails went really well with her dress. I love matching nails with fashion, but I change my nails so often, they hardly ever go with what I'm wearing.  Unless I plan ahead. :D  I had a flipping awesome day.  Hope yours was too!

France!~

Hello, Everyone!  I have another flag for today!  Today I represent France!   And actually, I'm half French, so I guess it's a personal post.  Lol.  Anyway, the photos aren't the best because I took them after several days of wear, but I tried.  VoilĂ !

Close up!

 Aerial view!
Colors Used:
  • OPI "Alpine Snow-Matte"
  • China Glaze "First Mate"
  • China Glaze "Sacred Heart (Neon)"

I take flag requests!  And heads up for those with a Sally's near by.  All April, all nail polishes are buy 2 get 1 free.  Which include China Glaze, Orly, Finger Paints, etc.  I also want to thank all of my followers.  Forty-five.  FORTY-FIVE!

The weather was awful today!  There was a tornado watch and everything.  Sheesh.  It was very windy. Well, enjoy the photos, and have a nice day!

Green And Rainbow Nails For St. Patrick's Day

Hello, Everyone!  Today I have two St. Patrick's Day themed nail designs! Enjoy!

For my green design I used OPI "Gargantuan Green Grape" as the base and Revlon "Emerald City" for the green patch on the left of each nail.  I decided to experiment and added another patch on the top right of each nail using OPI "Here Today Aragon Tomorrow".  I didn't enjoy it, as you can see.

Then right before I was going to remove the design I wanted to see what Sinful Colors' "Green Ocean" would look like on the design.  Not a fan.  But we live and we learn.

And here's my duo-color rainbow design!  The pointer finger with the yellow design has two colors, I swear.  The other pictures show it better.

Thumb:  OPI "Heart Throb" and OPI "Ate Berries in the Canaries"
Pointer:  OPI "Fiercely Fiona" and "China Glaze "Solar Power"
Middle:  OPI "Gargantuan Green Grape" and OPI "Jade is the New Black"
Fourth:  Orly "Gum Drop" and China Glaze "Shower Together"
Pinky:  OPI "Rumple's Wiggin'" and China Glaze "Spontaneous"

I hope everyone enjoys their St. Patrick's Day.  And here's a question Zoya asked on their Facebook page, "Green beer or green nail polish?"
