OPI: Sparrow Me the Drama

Hello, Everyone!  I'm on a blogging roll!  I've been consistently posting!  And today is OPI's Sparrow Me the Drama form the Pirates of the Caribbean collection.

I bought the mini collection which includes Sparrow Me the Drama, Planks a Lot, Skull and Glossbones, and Stranger Tides.  Each bottle has 3.75 mL compared to a normal sized OPI bottle of 15 mL.  The colors of the mini set that I like, I plan on getting the bigger bottles.  On to the review.

• Coats:  2 coats for opaqueness; I needed a 3rd coat on some nails for bald spots, but I think that only happened because I had to use the mini brush from the mini bottle.  If I had a normal sized bottle, I bet I could of just used 2 coats.
• Finish:  Buttery creme. :D
• Where:  ULTA, Trade Secret
• Wear:  I wore it for 3 days and it didn't look like it was going to chip any time soon.
• Cost:  $8.50 (the standard amount)
• Staining: No stains!
• Application:  Easy, breezy.  Very smoooooth.
• Dry time:  Normal
• Removal:  Easy!

The photos are color accurate.  SMTD is a dusty light pink that looks more murky (murkier?) in the shade.  The entire Pirates collection has a murky look, which I LOVE.  It makes me REALLY like this pink.  And I'm one of the many bloggers who don't like pink polish.

I really like this color.  It's a nice go-to pink and it makes me feel girly and fresh. :P  I'm getting the normal sized bottle as soon as I can find one.  This really seems to be the perfect pink for me and my skin tone, which is nice to have.  I think there's a pink out there for everyone. :)

OPI: Last Friday Night

Hello, Everyone!  It's color time!  And I'm sure everyone is quite familiar with OPI's Last Friday Night but here's my take on it.

I know a lot of bloggers do not like LFN by itself and say it's better off being a topcoat, BUT I disagree.  And I even recall the famous Scandalously Polished praising and loving this color on it's own.  This is a color for people who are not afraid of and embrace a visible nail line.

• Coats:   I used 4 coats and no matter how many coats you use, you will have a visible nail line (VNL)
• Finish: A jelly with microglitter and hexagonal glitter
• Where:  ULTA, Trade Secret
• Wear:  3 days with no chips, and I feel confident enough to say it still had a few more days of wear.
• Cost:  $8.50 wherever you get it
• Staining: No stains!
• Application:  No problems.
• Dry time:  Quick.
• Removal: Not easy, not hard.  The blue/clear base comes off easily, but the little glitters stick on your nails, but it's not difficult to get them off.  It just takes a little longer.  The foil method is not necessary.

It's sheer, yes, but it has a certain feel about it.  I consider it a polish to use when you're not in the mood for a color but you want something nice on your nails.  The thumb also reminds me of a disco ball.  :)

The color looks a little washed out in the above picture.  It's a little bit more blue in real life.

I remember this color referred to as fairy wings. :)  I like the color and I like it enough to get the normal sized bottle after buying the mini set.  I know many bloggers were disappointed by the Katy Perry collection, but I actually love it and it's one of my favorite collection.  It's all a matter of taste. :)

Graduation Nails!~

It's been a while since I've posted! My bad!  I've missed this!  I graduated about a month ago and these are the nails I wore.  My school colors are black and gold, and I wanted to keep it simple, so this is what I did:

Products used:

• Seche Vite Base Coat
• OPI: Need Sunglasses?
• Konad Special Nil Polish: Black
• Konad Image Plate: m64
• Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

I will post more.  I haven't stopped painting my nails in my absence!

Sky Nails~

Hello, Everyone!  It's been a while.  Things are great in my world, how's yours?  Here's a nail art design that was fun and fresh.  Behold.

Products Used (in order of usage):

• Finger Paints Base Coat
• China Glaze: Secret Per-Wink-Le
• Konad Special Nail Polish: White
• Konad Image Plate: m79
• Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

And then I cut my nails, for fresh short nails~

Easy to do, but really pretty.  And relaxing to look at.  My summer vacation has started so I'm looking forward to wearing bright, summer colors!

Zoyas + Cosmic FX

Hello, Everyone!  I got my Earth Day Zoyas on Saturday and for my birthday I got 2 colors from Orly's Cosmic FX collection.  The pictures speak for themselves.  Behold.

Lindsay is a light pink in real life, though it appears darker in these pictures.  Caitlin is darker and more blue and Moxie is deeper.  I will certainly have reviews soon.  I had ordered 7 colors from the Earth Day promo, but two of them were part of my mom's Mother's Day gift.  I got her Eva and Venus.

Birthday Haul Part 1

Hello, Everyone!  My birthday last Friday, the same day as the Royal Wedding, and here are some of the nail related presents I got~

Zoya: Faye

Hello, Everyone!  Today I have a color that I'm sure you're familiar with because it has been on almost everyone's blog.  Here is Zoya's "Faye" from the Sunshine Collection.

Zoya describes "Faye" on their website as "A bronzed mauve with purple and brown undertones flooded with bright gold sparkle."  And I agree, except for the "brown undertones"part, because really I don't see that.

• Coats:  2 coats, but I've heard other people use 3.
• Finish:  A glorious shimmer.
• Where:  Zoya.com
• Wear:  I wore it for 3 days, but it didn't look like "Faye" was going to chip any time soon.
• Cost:  $8.00 at Zoya.com
• Staining: No stains!
• Application:  Smooth and light, like all Zoya shimmers.
• Dry time:  Normal
• Removal:  Not difficult, but little sparkles get all over your hands, so you might be better off using the foil method of removal.

The photos are color accurate and taken in sunlight.

I enjoy "Faye" because it is a subtle but beautiful color.  The mauve tone is pleasing to my eyes and the gold shimmer is VERY visible and gorgeous.  Zoya does gold shimmer so fabulously.
