Zoya: Harlow

Hello, Everyone!  Today I am following the trend of "Pink Wednesdays" (from Mean Girls).  Today I am showing Zoya's Harlow from the Matte Velvet Winter Collection.
Today is a special post because it's my 100th post!  And I wanted to do a review on a color I really love, hence Harlow.

Harlow is a pink rose-colored matte with shimmer.  The color is a great dusty pink, so for those who aren't pink fans, "Harlow" is amazing an unique, and I don't know anyone who could flat out say they don't like this color.
I used two coats of color to have a nice even finish.  And because it's matte, it dries fast, so you have to apply the color quickly, otherwise the color will drag.
Zoya says not to wear a base coat with mattes.  But I don't like to follow that rule.  I wear a base coat always, no matter the finish.  I'm not one to take chances and let my nails get stained.
The color has easy removal and wears pretty well.  No chips for two days.  I just had tip wear.
All the pictures are color accurate, but the color is much more beautiful in real life.  Trust me.  I highly recommend it.

I took the photos after wearing it for 2 days.  Just so you all know. :)  I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.  It's been awfully raining where I am.

Essie: Sew Psyched

Hello, Blog World!  Today's post is special because it is my 99th post AND I am showing my very first Essie nail polish, which I got about a week ago at Walgreens.

"Sew Psyched" is a green/gray creme with very muted micro-shimmer.  With a lot of sunlight, you can really see the green.
I used two coats, and it was perfectly opaque, with easy application and easy removal.
I wore the color for 3 days with no chips, so I was totally pleased with my first Essie experience.
I remember reading one blog that complained about the drying time for this color.  I had no problems with the drying time.  I always use Seche Vite top coat and it never fails me.
I will definitely get some more Essie polishes in the future.  I already have my eyes on a few. :)

The color is, in my personal opinion, unique.  I don't have anything like it.  It's a very different color, but I like it a lot.
I highly recommend this color to anyone!  You can find it at Walgreens, Ulta, and Trade Secret for $8 a bottle.

Click the pictures to see the beauty up close and personal!  Pictures are color accurate!
And a close up.

That's all for today!  Make sure to check out Zoya's Promotion!  It's a BOGO (Buy One Get One free), but only applies to the new Summer collection.  I personally fell for the Sunshine Collection.  Click HERE for directions on how to use the promo code!

Revlon: Not So Blueberry (With guest nails!)

Hello, Everyone!  Today I have a swatch of Revlon's "Not So Blueberry".  The color isn't actually mine.   It's my sister's.  Well, at least, I bought it for her, so it's hers.  I didn't use it.  But!  I did her nails over Spring Break.  And here they are, shaped, buffed, and painted. :D

Two coats.

"Not So Blueberry" is a lavender/periwinkle shimmer polish.  The pictures are color accurate.
The color is supremely light and airy.  It doesn't seem heavy on the nails.  "Not So Blueberry" is a part of Revlon's scented nail polishes.  This one is supposed to smell like blueberries, obviously. :D  And it kind of did.  It certainly smelled good.

And then my sister wanted the "Black Shatter".  So we shatter-fied it.

It looks good!  It's a nice combination!

I love this color.  And yet I don't own it.  I bought it as a gift because I am a loving sister. :D  I'm considering getting it for myself.  My Spring Break is practically over.  Farewell.

My sister has a blog of her own, and check it out, HERE, if you're bored. LOL.

OH!  And, everyone, don't forget to make a Zoya account by 5 PM EST, becaue there is a promo coming up~!

Zoya Facebook Promo

Zoya will be having a new promo.  Their Facebook page has been hinting at it all week.  And if this isn't a sign, then I don't know what is.
That is a screenshot I took from Zoya's Facebook page this morning.
So, everyone, get your accounts ready.

I know mine is.

Green And Rainbow Nails For St. Patrick's Day

Hello, Everyone!  Today I have two St. Patrick's Day themed nail designs! Enjoy!

For my green design I used OPI "Gargantuan Green Grape" as the base and Revlon "Emerald City" for the green patch on the left of each nail.  I decided to experiment and added another patch on the top right of each nail using OPI "Here Today Aragon Tomorrow".  I didn't enjoy it, as you can see.

Then right before I was going to remove the design I wanted to see what Sinful Colors' "Green Ocean" would look like on the design.  Not a fan.  But we live and we learn.

And here's my duo-color rainbow design!  The pointer finger with the yellow design has two colors, I swear.  The other pictures show it better.

Thumb:  OPI "Heart Throb" and OPI "Ate Berries in the Canaries"
Pointer:  OPI "Fiercely Fiona" and "China Glaze "Solar Power"
Middle:  OPI "Gargantuan Green Grape" and OPI "Jade is the New Black"
Fourth:  Orly "Gum Drop" and China Glaze "Shower Together"
Pinky:  OPI "Rumple's Wiggin'" and China Glaze "Spontaneous"

I hope everyone enjoys their St. Patrick's Day.  And here's a question Zoya asked on their Facebook page, "Green beer or green nail polish?"

Blue Glitter Polishes + Black Shatter

Hello!  LONG time no post.  What can I say? Life gets in the way.  But in my absence I have not stopped painting my nails.  Obviously.  Today I have another Black Shatter experiment.  I used four different blue glitter polishes and added Black Shatter.  Behold. (Feel free to click the photos to see better detail)

                                     1.  O.P.I "Last Friday Night"
                                     2.  Sally Hansen HD High Definition "Byte"
                                     3.  Zoya "Crystal"
                                     4.  China Glaze "Dorothy Who?"

(3 coats, no top coat)
(Black Shatter with top coat)

The pictures below go in order of 3 coats of color, "Black Shatter" with no top coat, "Black Shatter" with top coat.

1.  O.P.I "Last Friday Night"
2.  Sally Hansen High Definition "Byte"
3.  Zoya "Crystal"
4.  China Glaze "Dorothy Who?"
My personal favorite with the 'Black Shatter" on top is "Last Friday Night" and "Byte".  My least favorite is "Dorothy Who?".  I just can't seem to do anything with "Dorothy Who?" and like it.

That's all for today.  And I am officially on Spring Break. :D
